We’re Hiring!

We’re hiring! Unbridled is currently looking for a speech therapist and qualified equine specialists to be a vital part of our hippotherapy team. For more information and for application purposes, please fill out the form on our website!

Registration is now open for Sunday afternoon sessions of our Balance Bike Program, starting August 27 – September 17! Registration forms can be downloaded from our website. Space is limited, so sign up today!

Why a balance bike? Strider balance bikes are industry-leading training bikes that help riders from 18 months up to adults master the fundamentals of balancing, leaning, and steering without the distractions and complications of pedals or training wheels. This design builds confidence and eliminates fear by allowing individuals to have their feet on the ground and progress at their own pace!

REMINDER:  HIPPOTHERAPY SESSIONS ARE CANCELLED BETWEEN AUGUST 22 through September 4.  TRRC equines enjoy a two week break before resuming services in September. Clinical sessions and evaluations continue as scheduled.  Direct questions to alysa@unbridledrehab.com.

A new, local company, Sprout to Sprinkle LLC is taking a fresh approach to getting kids out of the house and “getting messy” by bringing them into small groups outdoors to grow and cook their own food. Fall groups start in September at the Willow Oak Flower & Herb Farm in Severn with this garden-to-table theme in mind.

The company offers unique opportunities for little sprouts to grow through 6-week outdoor social skills and sensory play groups. What makes these groups so unique is that they accommodate children of all abilities in a small group setting. If your child is a “picky eater” or has sensory processing issues, this is a great experience for them. In the social skills groups, kids will learn table manners among other skills while making new friends. Kids get to grow veggies, plan recipes, learn about measurements and learn to cut safely with kid-friendly kitchen supplies. The company also offers parents strategies and resources to continue the fun at home.

Because the groups are designed and led by a licensed Occupational Therapist, they adapt activities regardless of your child’s physical limitations so that everyone feels that they are participating fully. To find out more about September’s groups visit www.sprouttosprinkle.com.

Activity of the Month:
Ocean Theme ABC Sensory Bin!

We learn about the world around us using our senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. These senses help us to understand information about the world around us. Sensory activities encourage children to explore, investigate, and create which in turn builds new pathways in the brain that further your child’s development. This month is an awesome activity that combines an Ocean theme with ABCs and the wonder of a sensory bin. Click here for instructions and free printables!
